WEEKLY UPDATE - June 4, 2023 ALERT - New Practice Schedule Starts Tomorrow - Revised Monday, June 5

Three new additions to yesterdays update -
1) Jill Griesse Memorial Invitational (June 16-18) - We are not submitting an entry to the Pau Hana / Jill Griesse Memorial Invitational due to lack of interest. Because we are not going to go to the Jill Griesse meet, we strongly recommend committing to the RAYS Summer Splash
2) Red 1 / Red 2 / Red 3 / Black 1 Practice at Milford on Friday, June 9 is cancelled. Black 1 swimmers are invited to attend the Black 2 / Black 3 practice at Clermont YMCA on this day.
3) Sign up for SOSL meets (Tuesday, June 13 at Cincinnati Sports Club and Thursday, June 15 at Mariemont)

PRACTICE SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS:
Due to scheduling conflicts with pool time at the Milford High School pool, we are going to need to make some schedule adjustments. We are trying to make the schedule as close to what was previously published as possible, but I apologize for the inconvenience.
Pool time is our biggest challenge, but it is hoped that we will be able to offer as many practice opportunities as possible in the time we are allotted.
The practice schedule changes really only impact Red 1, Red 2, Red 3 & Black 1 on Tuesday’s and Friday’s.
The new schedule is included at the end of this message. This only affects the next two weeks since the Milford pool will be closing June 17 – July 5.
The schedule through July 5 will be the same as published earlier. The Milford schedule after July 5 has not been finalized with the school yet but we will let everyone know what it will be as soon as possible.
FRONTIER DAYS PARADE:
This was a fun event for the participants, spectators, and city of Milford.
It was also a great way to put the MAST name out there in the community. We hope that MAST will participate again next year with an even larger contingent.
Special thanks to the Fentress family for taking the lead and making sure this happened.
SWIM MEETS:
CAC SUMMER CLASSIC - MAST swimmers did well this past weekend in the CAC Summer Classic at Miami University. Now that we have two long course meets we will gain the benefit of training some long course at the Clermont YMCA.
PAU HANA - JILL GRIESSE MEMORIAL (June 16 - 18) - Cancelled due to lack of interest
RAYS SUMMER SPLASH (June 23 – 25). Tomorrow, June 5, is the commit deadline for the RAYS Summer Splash meet. We would love to have a big team entry for this meet. If you have not signed up yet, please do it tonight or tomorrow.
SOSL MEETS – Due to scheduling conflicts it looks like all SOSL meets will be away meets. We were originally scheduling to host two meets (June 13 & June 15) but we will not be able to do that. Both meets will be away – pending final approval. The good news is that the change of venue is to the two closest pools (Cincinnati Sports Club – June 13 and Mariemont – June 15) so it should work out well.
