Weekly Update - July 17, 2022 AGE-GROUP CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK
Hello MAST Families, Sunday, July 17
1) OSI SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS - Congratulations to all the MAST swimmers who raced this past weekend at the OSI Senior Championships in the new Mason Natatorium. Our swimmers were very competitive and we saw numerous best times at the meet. Results will be posted as soon as the are received from Ohio Swimming.
2) SOSL CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE TUESDAY –
JULY 19 at WEST CLERMONT MERCY HEALTHPLEX - Coach Corey has been sending updates with all the information you need for the SOSL League Meet. If you have not received the information, please contact Coach COrey or Coach Monty immediately.
3) JO CHAMPS MEET BRIEF SHOULD BE AVAILABLE ON MONDAY. The meet summary is still being worked on but if you need information before I get to finish the 1 sheet summary, the general meet information is available in the Events Tab.
4) PRACTICE SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 18 – 24. With the SOSL meet on Tuesday and the OSI J.O. Championship on the upcoming weekend, regular practices are coming to an end. We will continue to have practices for those who have qualified for Ohio J.O. Championships (July 21 - 24), USAS Junior Nationals (August 1 - 5), and USAS Central Zone Championships (August 4 - 7) until Tuesday, August 2 or until the swimmers final meet. Any Black group swimmers who want to come to these practices is welcome to attend. The swimmers training for these meets will welcome the additional swimmers in the pool.
5) MILFORD POOL REOPENING FOR MAST PRACTICE ON JULY 21 – We will return to practices at Milford High School on July 21 but may have a couple practices the following week at Clermont YMCA. This plan has not been finalized but as soon as it is, the information will be posted on the website.
6) MONDAY PRACTICE – JULY 18

CHAMPIONSHIP PREP PRACTICE
. We would like all swimmers who are entered in the SOSL Championships to attend practice at Mercy Healthplex on Monday, July 18 at 8:45 – 10:00 to get a chance to get used to the pool, the blocks, etc. If, due to scheduling or transportation, your swimmer is not able to attend the later (Championship prep) practice and your swimmer has been swimming Monday’s at the Clermont YMCA, then you should come to regular Black Group practice at the Y.
