SPECTATOR LIMITS
 
 

Given the attendance of the spectators at Saturday's sessions of the JO meet, beginning Sunday, there will be a new plan:

Parents and Spectators will remain in the auxilary gym - no access to the pool.

Only athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers will have access to the pool.

Spectators will have access to the lobby of the school and are welcome to bring chairs.

The school will provide some screens in the gym to view the meet.

Only athletes with their deck pass will be allowed in and out of the gym to gain deck access.

We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility in order to stay in compliance with the Fire Department of Springfield Township.

Hello MAST Families,
 
All current information for the Ohio LSC JO Championship meet is posted in the forms section of the meet page.
 
Find the Psych Sheets, team volunteer assignments (teams are required to fill certain volunteer positions during the meet – please sign up as soon as possible), participation waiver, additional meet information and a letter from Ohio Swimming that you can take to your child’s school (which has also been sent directly to you by the MAST board).
 
PARTICIPATION WAIVER
Swimmers must complete the USA Swimming waiver form. 
This form is included in the forms on the MAST Events page.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
  1. Championship Scratch rules are in effect for this meet.  This event will follow the scratch rules as defined in section 207.11.6 of the USA Swimming Rules and Regulations with the following exceptions:
    1. The scratch deadline for Individual Preliminary and Timed Final Events will be 60 minutes prior to the start of the session where the individual event is contested.
    2. Relay scratch deadlines are as follows:
      1. The scratch deadline for the Friday 800 Free Relay shall be 30 minutes after the start of Friday Prelims.
      2. The scratch deadline for Saturday relays will be 30 minutes after the start of the Friday Finals.
      3. The scratch deadline for Sunday relays will be 30 minutes after the start of the Saturday Finals
      4. Any relay team that fails to appear for a pre-seeded relay event shall not be penalized.
    3. Any swimmer not appearing for an individual preliminary event, without officially scratching per meet guidelines, shall not be penalized; however, that event will be counted against their 7-event maximum for the meet and their 3 event per day maximum.
    4. Any swimmer qualifying for a consolation or championship final in an individual event who fails to compete in said final shall be barred from his/her next individual event, except as noted in USA Rule 207.11.6E. This rule also applies to timed final events where the top heat(s) are contested in the consolation or championship heats.
    5. Failure to scratch consolation or championship finals according to the rules above shall result in a $50.00 penalty fee per event against the swimmer if the event is his/her last event of the meet.
  2. All Relays are conducted in prelims as Timed Final Events in the prelim sessions.
