Hello MAST Families,

When we met with parent groups on Thursday, September 9 one of the procedures mentioned regarding practice attendance and possible Covid exposure was "when in doubt - keep them out." 

We coaches have to comply with the same procedues and as it happened both Coach Corey and I may have been directly exposed to a Covid infected individual(s). While waiting for the test results (both ours and the possible infected contacts) we feel it is best that we do not risk exposing anyone else. 

This situation leaves us with only two available coaches until Corey and Monty are cleared to return.  We will do the best we can to provide appropriate early season swimming practices with only half the coaching staff available, but some adjustments have to be made until we are fully staffed again. 

1) Until further notice we will not have Dryland sessions prior to swim practice.

2) Please have your swimmers arrive 15 minutes before swim start time so that practice can begin on time with swimming.

3) Black 2 & 3 groups know their standard pre-practice mobility routine and it is highly recommended they complete the basic part.

4) All groups must respect the groups in the water and keep quiet when in the pool area so that noise does not interfere with the coach on deck  or the group in the water.  If you cannot be quiet, please do not enter the pool area until the start of practice.

5) Please check daily message for updates on our practice situation.

6) Masters swimming will not begin until we are back to full staffing.
